The AC1224 family of walk-in anechoic chambers enables high-performance OTA testing across microwave, mmWave, and automotive radar bands in a modular, relocatable format.
Our walk-in AC1224 mmWave chambers are used by both small companies and large corporations worldwide. The chambers are modular and panel-based, can expand as your testing space requirements change, and can move easily if you need to relocate to a different site. The flexible design allows assembly in areas where you would normally never be able to set up an anechoic test chamber.
We design and manufacture all the AC1224 chambers in-house. We focus on simplicity, modularity, and purpose-built design for mmWave applications. As a result, we have created a chamber series that is not only easy to assemble but also affordable, both in initial acquisition and in the chamber’s lifetime cost of ownership.

AC1224 CHAMBERS – KEY ADVANTAGES
A high-performance solution
The AC1224 is a precision CNC-manufactured chamber with best-in-class absorbers aimed at micro- and mmwave applications.
The Polyurethane (PU) absorbers are heavily slush-loaded and with the latest-generation surface coating.
Both 115 and 300 mm absorbers are ready for sustained RF performance as frequency bands rise above 100 GHz and have excellent mechanical strength and reflectivity properties.
Robust and lightweight
The AC1224 fits in spaces where no other chamber will. The all-aluminum frame and lightweight panels keep the floor load per square meter (60 kg / m2) the lowest in the test and measurement industry, making it well-suited for lofts, raised data floors, and older buildings.
You can carry panels and beams by hand and assemble or disassemble the chamber using only hand tools. This opens installation possibilities in hard-to-access areas.

Three different modules, any length
The AC1224 walk-in chambers use three core module types: door, center, and end module. A three-module configuration gives you a compact range, and adding center modules grows the chamber in approximately 120 cm increments. You can run configurations of up to eight or nine modules, though electrically narrow chambers at those depths may limit certain applications.
We have seen customers expand their initial configuration to 8 or 9 modules as their requirements grow. Add or remove modules as your business changes; start with a three-module chamber, then increase depth by ordering additional center modules. Or splits a long chamber into two shorter ones by adding a door module.

AC1224 Chamber Versions
The AC1224 modular antenna test chamber is available in a square cross-section format of H 2.4 m x W 2.4 m (8 ft x 8 ft), and H3.6 m x W 3.6 m (12 ft x 12 ft), or in wider (rectangular cross-section) variations of these. They can even be scaled to larger custom sizes if needed.
The AC1224 standard versions have one door module with a 120 cm (4 ft) wide double door, one or multiple center modules, and an end module. If you need access from both ends, you can have door modules at each end.
Below 10 GHz?
Do you need a chamber for measurements below 10 GHz? We can help.
Our walk-in chambers, including the compact AC1120, were originally developed exclusively for mmWave applications from 10 GHz and up. With the AC1224, we have expanded these capabilities by combining 300 mm absorbers with foil shielding, making lower-frequency measurements possible as well.

AC1224-240
240 cm x 240 cm (8 ft x 8 ft)
Our AC1224-240 walk-in antenna test range has a width and height of ~240 cm x ~240 cm (8 ft x 8 ft), with each module ~120 cm deep. Panel sizes are ~120 cm x 240 cm, and they weigh as little as 24 kg with 115 mm absorbers, making it easy for two people to handle and install.
The AC1224-240 has proven itself as the go-to anechoic chamber for companies and universities that need a compact walk-in-sized chamber without the cost of a traditional big-brand test range.
AC1224-360
360 cm x 360 cm (12 ft x 12 ft)
The larger ~3.6 m × ~3.6 m chamber is for radar and telecom applications that require longer test distances and greater width and height. AC1224-360 typically starts with a four-module configuration (door, two center modules, and an end module) and can be extended as needed.
Each AC1224-360 module’s ceilings and walls are split into two panel pieces of each ~120 x 180 cm. The smaller and lighter panels (compared with the AC1224-240 panels) make chamber assembly even practical despite the larger chamber size. Even at this chamber size, hand tools will suffice for assembly and disassembly.
AC1224-360 with reduced ceiling height
360 cm x 240 cm/300 cm (12 ft x 8 ft/10 ft)
This AC1224-360 test chamber has the full 3.6 m (12 ft) width of the AC1224-360, but with a height of ~240 cm (AC1224-360/240) or ~300 cm (AC1224-360/300).
These versions are purpose-built for facilities with lower ceiling heights that would otherwise not allow the full AC1224-360 height, but where the application would benefit from a wide test aperture, typical for radar/RCS measurements with movable targets, where spatial separation is key.

Get in touch, and we’ll walk you through the options. We reply the same day, usually within working hours.
Design and process
Most inquiries move quickly. We can instantly tell whether one of our standard chambers fits, whether a small adaptation is needed, or whether a fully custom design is the right path. In the same conversation, we’ll cover unpacking area, access routes, ceiling height, and any positioning equipment you’ll want inside the chamber, along with shipping and installation options. When you’re ready, you send a purchase order, and we begin production. We build every AC1224 to order, and with good planning on both sides, we deliver with the shortest lead times in the test and measurement market.
Delivery
AC1224 chambers ship flat-packed — panels, absorbers, aluminum framing, tools, and small parts, packed tightly and palletized for forklift and pallet-jack handling. We ship Ex Works or Delivered At Place to almost anywhere in the world, by air, sea, or road. Once your chamber leaves us, you’ll receive a tracking link and a packing list so you know exactly what to expect and when.
Assembly
Upon arrival, you’ll receive a detailed parts list and a full assembly guide, along with a short list of items to have on hand locally (ladders, basic safety equipment, and so on). Every piece is labeled so it’s clear what belongs where.
Many of our customers install their own chambers; for others, we come on-site and handle it. Either way, we recommend involving your team in the build. It shortens the timeline and gives your people hands-on knowledge that pays off later, for example, when you extend the chamber or relocate it down the line.
Built for mmWave - and below
No legacy architecture, no unnecessary shielding. The AC1224-240 with 115 mm absorbers is designed specifically for 10 GHz and above, which means you get the performance you need at a fraction of the cost of a full-metal chamber. Need lower frequencies? Check our 300 mm absorber option.
Customer-assembled
Every panel and beam can be carried by two people. The heaviest panel with 115 mm absorbers weighs below 20 kg (30 kg with 300 mm absorbers). Assembly requires only hand tools: no cranes, no contractors, no waiting. A chamber your team has built is a chamber your team understands.
Fits where others cannot
An all-aluminum frame and lightweight panels keep the floor load at 60 kg/m².
The AC1224-240 can be installed on raised floors, in attics, basements, and older buildings: locations with limited access that would never support a conventional chamber.

AC1224 Chamber Comparison
* The floorless configuration allows the chamber to be placed directly on the room floor, eliminating the raised chamber floor and making it well suited for heavy DUTs, wheeled-in equipment, and conveyor belts. This configuration requires the walls to be bolted to the floor.
** Aluminum alloy foil shielding adds a conductive metal layer between the absorbers and the chamber panels, providing additional isolation at sub-mmWave frequencies.

Absorber performance
AC1224 chambers use pyramidal polyurethane (PU) absorbers, the best in the market with excellent reflectivity attenuation loss across microwave, mmWave, and automotive radar bands.
