The UNO Spherical Antenna Positioners

The UNO series positioners are designed for professional over-the-air (OTA) 2D and 3D spherical antenna measurements. The classical azimuth-roll design ensures the broadest field of view possible, allowing for accurate measurements.

The UNO series can operate in a stand-alone mode as an azimuth-elevation positioner or paired with a matched roll mast.

By incorporating a separate roll mast and synchronizing polarization with the roll axis, an azimuth-roll-roll kit facilitates fully spherical measurements, thereby eliminating any blockage of the radiation path at all times. The separate mast is also controllable individually, allowing cross-polarization measurements if needed.

The UNO6 is designed for a large walk-in chamber like our AC1224 and is ideal for large panel antenna arrays due to the clearance between the roll axis and the azimuth platform. The UNO6 utilizes quality components, dimensioned for high load throughout its design, to ensure consistent and dependable performance.

The UNO5 follows the same principles as the UNO6 but is scaled down to offer a high-precision spherical positioner for smaller chambers. It is ideally suited for the AC1120 chamber series,  which is prepared for seamless mounting of the UNO5 and the opposing roll mast.

Versatile Configuration for Comprehensive Coverage

Operate the UNO series in stand-alone mode as an azimuth-elevation positioner or pair it with a matched roll mast for enhanced capability. UNO6 – Engineered for Scale and Precision

Designed for walk-in chambers like our AC1224, the UNO6 is the essence of robustness and precision. Its clearance allows for the testing of large antenna arrays, making it an asset for high-end antenna evaluations. All components are designed to withstand high loads and will guarantee consistent performance.

The “UNO6 Spherical Kit” includes an additional roll mast similar to the one on the UNO6 positioner, opening up for spherical theta-phi and polarization measurements.

The UNO6 is delivered with a multi-axis intelligent controller, so all three azimuth-roll-roll axes are individually controllable. Our Python reference code supports the UNO6 both as an azimuth-elevation or azimuth-roll-roll positioner.

UNO5 – Precision in a Compact Format

The UNO5 offers high-precision measurement capabilities similar to the UNO6. Still, it is in a more compact form, making it ideal for environments where space is at a premium, but compromise on accuracy is not an option. It shares DNA with the DUO series, and is CNC-machined from rigid polymer plastic and entirely metal-free in the upper section to reduce stray reflections effectively.

The UNO5 is designed to fit the AC1120-series chambers, which are prepared with cutouts and mounting holes for seamless integration with the positioner.

Mounted to our pedestal stand, it is equally useable for walk-in-sized chambers like the AC1224. The stand can be produced to the height needed to bring the roll axis equidistant between the ceiling and floor of your chamber.

Software

Python reference software is included with all our UNO and DUO positioners and exclusively uses standard Python functionality for the controlling code and the GUI. All applications are provided with clear, inline documentation to allow easy modifications or adaptation to your existing software environment.

Our multi-axis controller is powerful, with all essential system functions built-in, significantly simplifying the top-level software application. It makes it uncomplicated to develop a new application in any software language.
